Sccm 2012 network connection windows update agent encountered transient network

I think there is a setting that automatically approves EULA. I have the same configuration - Server with and I am getting this occasionally weekly too. It seems to happen when my ADR runs on Monday evenings specifically - but I've checked the package and the update noted in the ruleengine.

I have my ADR set to "run this rule after any software update point synchronization" - but I'm thinking I will change that to "run the rule on a schedule" to see if that solves the error. My older system had an ADR for virus updates and I had it "run the rule on a schedule" and it never failed Just wanted to update anyone interested - in the month that I changed my ADR from "run this rule after any software update point synchronization" to "run the rule on a schedule" that evaluation schedule is set to 3h after the ADR runs I have not had any failures.

I just updated to so I don't know if this is necessary with it - but I'm not interested in changing it now that I have it functioning consistently without error.

If you look in the WindowsUpdate. The only workaround for the issue at the moment is to temporarily prevent CompatTelRunner. You can prevent this from running by disabling the Task Scheduler task that runs this once a day by running the following command or disabling it from the Task Scheduler control panel applet: schtasks.

We are also having the described issues. Microsoft just informed me about the following KB. In Our network, clients should be able to receive the workaround fix from microsoft directly but it seems not all clients have applied the fix until today.

Microsoft contacted me today and they will release a hotfix during the next weeks. Until the hotfix is released only the workaround from KB is available. Did this hotfix ever come out? I'm still seeing this problem in our environment, so there must've not been any general release patch that fixed it.

This has helped somewhat but we still seeing a large number of update pkg failures, scan errors, etc. And of course we still have the network setting throttle back to prevent the original problem. MS said they are working on a permanent fix, so we're trying to ride it out like this for now and hope they come through soon.

We also have firewall rules in place on our primary site we can enable to quickly stop all traffic to a site if necessary. We have also installed additional Software Update Points to allow the metadata traffic to remain local to the site. Below are a couple links a colleague found with others having a similar issue. We are still using QOS and firewall rules for this issue. Good authority!

SCCM version I am using. I checked network connectivity between clients and server. It is fine. There is no issue in network connectivity. Thank you. JPG
